Management Team

CompassEric Mock – President, Owner/Partner and 3rd Generation.  Joined the Company in 1991 and advanced to the position of President in 2002.  Eric has lead MBB to a new level of excellence by focusing on best practices and technology.  His main executive focus is on operations and overall company vision.  Eric is actively involved in the industry and has served on many committees for ACA International, ICA (Illinois Collectors Association) and MDHBA - A Healthcare Receivables Management Association.  Eric is past president of ICA and MDHBA and currently serves on the Board of Directors for ACA International.  Eric was also an active participant in the task force led by Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), ACA International and a diverse group of stakeholders including medical providers, consumer advocates and the credit reporting industry in developing "new best practices" to help make paying of medical bills an easier and fairer proposition for consumers.
 

Todd Gillis – Vice President, Owner/Partner. Todd joined the company in 2004. Although he was from outside the collections industry, he joined MBB with an extensive background in manufacturing processes and sales and marketing management. His primary responsibility is to manage the sales and marketing efforts of the company. His main philosophy is to make it easy to do business with Medical Business Bureau. If we make it easy for our clients to work with us and we do our job of recovering revenue with minimal to no complaints, our partnership with our clients will continue for many years. Todd has a BA from the University of Kansas and is former President of MDHBA - A Healthcare Receivables Management Organization and a long standing committee member of HBMA (Healthcare Billing and Management Association).

J. Dennis Mock – Vice President of Sales, 2nd Generation until 2004 when he sold part of the business. Still active in sales, Dennis uses his wealth of knowledge to help educate both staff and clients on the market trends. 
 
Terri Blye – Vice President of Production. Terri joined MBB in 2008. She has more than 35 years of experience in the collection industry, which includes over 15 years in operations with one of the largest collection agencies in the country. She holds a Credit and Collection Compliance Officer (CCCO) certification from ACA International. The Campus ACA CCCO credentialing program was designed to provide training for credit and collection professionals with compliance responsibilities at their organization. Topics include customer care strategies, how to handle disputes and complaints, documentation, how to measure risks and much more. Terri is primarily responsible for the direction, management and performance of our call center operations.
 
Kim Tolomeo – Vice President of Operations. Kim joined MBB in 1996.  Throughout the years, she has played an integral part in every aspect of our company’s development, while continuing to uphold our Commitment to Excellence in service. Kim handles multiple aspects of our business, but her primary focus is operations management as it relates to providing our clients with the best possible customized service.
 
Randy Gelb - Director of Business Development.  Randy joined MBB in 2011. He has more than 25 years in the collections industry holding positions from Collector to VP of Operations to his current position as Director of Business Development for MBB. Randy has been extremely involved within the industry associations. In recent years, he was Past President of the Illinois Collectors Association (ICA); Council of Delegate for ACA International; Board Member (Governor appointed) of the IL Dept. of Financial & Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Collection Agency Board; and National & Chapter member of HFMA and AAHAM. Randy currently serves as Chairman of the Registration Committee for First Illinois HFMA chapter. One of his most memorable achievements was being awarded the 2011 ACA - International Member of the Year.
 

Jacob Blye – IS Coordinator. Jacob joined MBB in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Bethel College. Prior to assuming the position of IS Coordinator, Jacob held a variety of positions within the company, enabling him to develop a well-rounded understanding of the healthcare collection industry. He is primarily responsible for managing day-to-day IS processes and his focus is on streamlining processes to improve efficiency and reduce response time.

Sarah Faulkenburg - Claims Associate/Accounts Receivable Supervisor. Sarah joined MBB in 2012 and has over 15 years’ experience in managing Hospital and Physician AR. She has experience on many different healthcare systems. She has exceptional customer service skills and knowledge in all areas of insurance billing. She currently supervises all insurance processes and oversees the Self Pay call center.
